Image Resolution

I have attached an ascci dem and an orthophoto using display manager.
The original orthophoto is a geo-referenced TIF at 0.25m but when I use the Image Manager I see the image is now a BMP with 37.800 dpi which translates to something in the order of 8m resolution, a serious downgrading of the image! Are there settings to control resolution or image type when connecting?

What version of Map3D? There have been some improvments in the last release. Also have you refreshed the image layer after you zoom in? Right click on the layer in Display Mananger and refresh.

Version is Map 3D 2007. I don't seem to have a refresh option on the right click menu. I have been trying to get upgraded for the last year or so :)
