can someone help me please. I am need of a way to create a custom dimension style that will show up in all new and existing drawings. I tried AM: Standards tab and modified the dimension style but it doesn't carry over to any other drawings. I even tried calling a Consultant but he doesn't specialize in Mechanical.
thanks in advance
Tommy

What you will want to do is create a template file, and create the dim style in that template file. You can then have autoCAD open that template file everytime you start a new drawing (look into the qnew command and the support files under options). You can set all of your standards in this template file (layers, text styles, dimstyles, etc) and they will all be there when you create a new drawing

As far as existing drawings, you will need to insert it into all existing drawings. You could probably write a script or a lisp to to do that.
