correct loading - how do I accomplish this?

hi all,

i want to be able to load one or more types from the attached family without loading the entire family. i tried using a Type Catalog, but had issues with param settings not being honored as set in the family.

in the attached family, there are objects with visibility params and material params. when loading using a Type Catalog, those params seem to default to the current type last saved within the family.

how do I load these types correctly as set in the family, without loading the entire family?

or maybe more clearly stated... "when loading using a Type Catalog, the params in the newly loaded type seem to be reset to the current type last saved within the family, not the type that was actually loaded."
