Is there a tutorial somewhere that will help me come up to speed with linking data in the drawing with that in a database or speadsheet?

I taught a course for the AUGI ATP on Tables including data linking in October 2007 called
ATP209 AutoCAD Tables. This was geared toward AutoCAD 2007 & 2008, but should get you started in data linking.
