Hi,

Does anyone know where the wire color names are located? We have a problem where we need to change the wire layer names but in doing so have old used names left over!!

I altered the wd_m drawing so that it contained the new wire layers and updated it in the drawings but I am left with a number of blank wire colors and layers as shown in the attachment.

Does anyone know where this 'blank' information is held so that I can delete it?

I don't suppose there is an automated way to do this is there? It would be really nice to swap one layer for another in doing so swap any used wires to the new layer ???

Thanks

When inside the Create/Edit Wire Type dialog box, delete the “blank” wire colors by selecting the line so it highlights and clicking on Remove Layer button. When testing this, I added two wire colors that added two new wire layers. For some reason the option to remove the layer using the button stays hidden; non selectable. I was able to remove them by right clicking and then selecting Delete Layer. Remember that if there is an X, it is used in the drawing somewhere. You will also have to delete the layer under the Layer Properties Manager.

Sorry, but I do not see an easy way to remove these. One help in the Create/Edit Wire Type dialog box is to group all the black layers together. This is done by either selecting Layer Name column or Wire Color column to arrange them by alphabet.

I did not find any document to indicate where this information is stored. Layers are stored in each drawing.

Swapping layers is really just remaining layers. Then you could just add those layers to the Create/Edit Wire Type using the Add Existing Layer… button. Oh, when I tested this, the layer name automaticly updated, only the size did not change. Cool!!
