I know that when modeling a part you can change the colour of surfaces by right clicking and selecting properties. I've also created some iFeatures of my own.

Is there a way that when I place an iFeature that it selected surfaces of it can be made a specific colour?

Yes, you can do that.

Look at the OTHER tab when you are creating or editting your table. You can create a column with the COLOR parameter. I have not done this lately, but I remember that you must spell the color name exactly. I do not know if you must define the column as a custom parameter column or not.

Most of my knowledge on colors in ifeatures came from http://www.kwikmcad.com/iparts/pems.asp and most of my other knowledge on ifeature came from http://www.cbliss.com/inventor/index.htm.

Thanks Bob but you are referring to iParts not iFeatures.

2 steps:

RMB on iFeature in Browser --> Properties
Change "Feature Color Style" to any color you want

RMB = Right Mouse Button

I'll be a little more specific...I would like some faces of the iFeature to automatically receive one colour and other faces of the same iFeature to receive another. These faces will appear with the chosen colours every time the features is used, without me having to select each face individually to change the colour properties.
