I Have been drawing 3D triangulated chutes for conveyors for a while, but I have been struggling with the method of pulling the solid shapes from the 3D shape that I have created and getting them on one plane. I need to do this to dimension, label etc. I have used 3D align. but it is tedious. I have just switched to 2010. Can anyone help.

Can you explain a little more or provide some screen shots of the final product? These would help me to understand what you are trying to do.
First thoughts would be "Why are you using solids" and not Mass Elements or Structural member styles. I'd create them flat and in plane and then tip the whole structure at once.
Just some thought but screen shots would be helpful.
