I have a user that is running R14 with the old "Config" system to add a plotter. We recently bought a Designjet 5500ps and those of us that are running 2004 and higher have no problem configuring it. The only way that I can get it to be a choice on R14 is by making it the default "System Printer". He is frustrated by that option because he has a desktop printer that he uses for that and doesn't want to keep switching back and forth. He wants to be able to choose it through his R14 plot function. I try to load a "new" printer in "config" but the 5500 is loaded on our network as an IP address and I can't figure out how to call it out. Please don't tell me to make him upgrade, I have, he won't and he's my boss so that's not an option. AAARRGHH....Any ideas will be TRULY appreciated!
