Afternoon everyone,
Was just wondering if anyone has subscribed to this new newsletter from Cadalyst? Its $14.95 a year and features Lynn Allen's tips and tricks. Have been debating on it, (since its inexpensive and deductible), but was just wondering if anyone else has seen it, and is it worth it?
Thanks

I am not sure I am willing to pay for a newsletter that has the information in it that I used to get in a print magazine for free and now get in a digital magazine for free. I think this is just someone's idea of how to make another buck. And if that article is no longer offered in the digital magazine I think that I can find the information somewhere else. :-? Like maybe on the AUGI forum. :-D

Acutally, we have subscribed, but locked in at the $9.99/year rate....haven't seen it yet, though...I'll let you know when we do!

How did you get it at that rate? My email stated that it was $14.95. hmmmmm....I didn't know either if it had actually started yet or not either, guess now I know. Thanks.

We got a postcard at the office with that rate...."early bird special" or some such thing, since we're such wonderful subscribers....

Don't feel too bad, that's still $10 cheaper than the two offers that arrived in my Inbox from CADalyst.
To be fair the $24.95 I was quoted could be due to me being based in the UK (though I really can't see why that should make any difference, seeing as it's delivered to one's E-mail address and *not* postal address).
Anyway to cut a long story short, I'm personally not going to pay CADalyst for the privilege of sending CAD Information to my Inbox that I can find / get for free else where.

Is this the reason why there haven't been any new articles from Lynn Allen in the last couple of issues of the mag?

**GASP** I learned so much from her articles!!!!!!!!!!! guess it's more web surfing for me............
back to the question at hand, though, no, I wouldn't pay for a silly e-newsletter! there are more important things to spend my money on.........say, wrestling shoes for my munchkin......speaking of which, he starts that on Mon..........guess I know what I'm doing this weekend!

That would be my guess. Guess she's so popular they are going to charge extra for her tips and tricks. May do it anyway though since its a write off on taxes since I would personally be paying for it. (educational expense, you know)

I had been receiving both Cadalyst and Cadence mags for years, at least since '93 when I started here and maybe at the last place also. Then when they went to the "Digital" magazine they asked if I wanted the print mag or the digital or both I selected both but now the only one I receive is the digital one. :banghead: :screwy: I liked the print one because I could take it home and read it there. People in the office don't see that reading that type of magazine is part of the job. Now, since I don't have a laptop I can only read it at work but on my own time.

Umm, am I the only one who's office foots the subscription bill? If so, please don't hurt me in a jealous rage...(covers head, hides)

My company would foot the bill, but I guess its just one of those things where it's the point of it. :!: It was free but now we want you to pay for it.
