We have 6 stations of LT 2008 & 2009, and two other MEP 2009 stations. I'm the only one with MEP 2010. I've tried to utilize the object enablers like I always have before and nothing is working. I don't know if I have confused myself or what, but it seems that you can't download MEP 2010 object enablers and install it on a lesser version, which in the past you could. Error from the dialog box:

In the past, say if you had AutoCAD MEP 2008, and wanted the OE for MEP 2009, then you would simply download the MEP 2009 Object Enablers and install it on the MEP 2008 machine to furnish it with the ability to see the AEC objects. Hell, I've even done the same thing for all the guys who just have the DWG Viewer installed.
Not anymore. Any help on this that anyone knows of?? Thanks in advance, really been racking my brain over this one.

I have never needed to install an object enabler, so take the following with that in mind.
It is my understanding that the object enabler that should be installed is the one for the same release as the product on which it is being installed. (AMEP formats sometimes change at different times than ACA/AutoCAD formats, so that may not be 100% accurate for AMEP). I could see a 2009 enabler working on 2008, since both of those versions shared the same underlying AutoCAD file format (2007). I would not expect a 2010 enabler to work on any release other than 2010, since there was an AutoCAD file format change with the 2010 release. Likewise, I would not expect a 2006 product to accept a 2007/2008/2009/2010 enabler.

Thanks for the tip, this makes perfect sense and I was kinda thinking about this to begin with.
I did a test, and installed DWG TrueView 2010 on one machine running MEP 2009. VoilĂ .... TrueView saw the objects perfectly fine without installing an Object Enabler. Looks like I'm gonna have to just submit to higher personnel to upgrade all stations. :(
Oh well, Thanks again for your help.
