Is there a way to set the width of the mtext different for each annotative scale. I find that when i ddedit the mtext in say, 40 scale, it also changes the width at 100 scale. maybe there is a system variable i am not aware of that controls this?

thanks.

pretty big problem as i'm sure you can imagine.

Depends on which version of AutoCAD your using. 2009 has this issue and as far as I know there is no work around. I believe 2008 didn't have this issue. 2010 doesn't have this issue.

I'm running 2010 and I still have this issue. Is there a fix?

It works the same as in 2010. So you should be good to go.

so it's fixed in 2010/11 or it isn't? 2 different responses on here regarding that.

I have no issues with this in 2010 or 2011. It could be that they other user wasn't using grips to change the width. If you open up the mtext to edit it and change the width there, it effects all scales.
