I'm trying to create a surface from gutter points or a polyline to make a profile of a road gutter. Does anyone know how to do this??

That's a big question to ask in a forum like this. Check out the tutorials on surfaces, alignments, and profiles that come with the program. They will help you out much more then anything anyone will reply with here. If you still have questions after going through those, come on back and ask away.

You really can't build a surface from a single line of points. You will need to draw a featureline through the points then offset it (use the command on the feature line toolbar) to either side then build your surface from those three featurelines.

With the tools built-in to C3D, the method Jeff mentions is the best.

However, with third-party help, you have simpler options. For example, you can create the Alignment and Profile directly from a 3D-polyline (http://www.quuxsoft.com/SincpacC3D_Help/SP_CreateAlignmentProfile.htm), or create an Alignment first and then use the Cogo Points (http://www.quuxsoft.com/SincpacC3D_Help/SP_AddPVIs.htm) to create the Profile.
