Cavity block walls - Not a construction we use very often at all (almost exclusively use timber frame) But the client wants to use cavity block in flats. We have achieved U values of 0.19 in the walls and want to avoid cold bridging anywhere. (boot lintols etc)
Hoping some of you lads in engurlund mught have some clever solutions..... Are looking at maybe using a catnic insulated lintol even though we dont have facing brick - that way we get the insulated lintols without having to glue insulation to a standard lintol !! But the bit between the horizontal fire stops and window head looks difficult to attach the cavity insulation too. Any tips much appreciated :)
