TIFF images not working with Smart pick

I seem to have ran into a problem and was hoping someone here could help me out. I created a drawing and converted it into a pdf but, when I convert the pdf into a tiff it doesn't seem to let me edit it with the smart pick or smart window. I can erase objects but not stretch them. Any and all help is appreciated.

When you convert it to a tif, it sees it as a grayscale image. Try converting it to a bitonal image.

We were using Adobe but, have switched over to PDF Converter Professional. I looked in the settings and Bitonal was not an option. Don't know if anyone know's what changes or where to make the changes for this to occur.

Change it in Raster Design. Insert the image, then go to the Process Image tab, then select Color depth. It should give the option for bitonal.
