1) when I give a MATCHPROP Commend I am required to press enter to apply properties to object. But I have seen on my friend's PC that ACAD Automatically applies properties once you select first object to the successive selections. How can i do it on my PC?

2) Group is highlighted correctly but while using add option group does not get highlighted and entities can not be added.

Urgent reply pl.

For the MATCHPROP issue
check your setting for PICKFIRST
and or on your options Tab look
at your selection settings.

For the Group issue this sounds like an
order of operation issue.

Try this test, create a group out of a couple entities.
Then select that group and issue the Group command,
be sure to select the group name from the list of groups
shown at the top. and then you should see the group light
up, and pressing the add button will add items to the
selected group. Verify that the group is Selectable, or make it so
during this edit operation.

I have tried all this combinations actually I have tried before posting the question.
In Autocad Mech desktop on my PC I can do the operations correctly.
So I have also taken printout (by setvar commend) of system variables for my Autocad and MDT settings but could not find the difference nor able to solve the problem?

Thank you very much for taking pain in replying and giving some really useful information.
I have also compared ACAD system variables on my PC and that on my colleague's PC.
But still my problem is not solved.
