Hi all,

I have about 700 drawings that I need to double check to make sure that all xrefs have been bound. Apart from loading each drawing and checking for xrefs what other ways can I check each drawing?

Trueview has the "bind all xrefs" in the DWG Convert" but I would like to be able to review any drawings with xrefs before committing to binding them.

Are there any tools that work from outside of Autocad to get a list of xrefs within a drawing??

thanks, Gary

Well this doesn't work "outside of AutoCAD"... but you can use design center to see xrefs that are attached to a file. Simply activate design ceter (CTRL+2), use the browser to select your drawing(s) and hit the "Xrefs" property and it will show what / if you have xrefs in that drawing.

There is the Reference Manger program that installs with AutoCAD. Can find it at Start>All Programs>Autodesk>Your version of AutoCAD>Reference Manger. See if that gets you what you want.
