Hey Guys,

Just another quick question. Does anyone know if you can render a walkthrough? If so, Does it take quite a long time?

Thanks,
Lisa

Yes you can, and depending on the length, resolution and speed of your PC it can take a long time to render.

Can anyone tell me how to render the walkthrough and if it's worthwhile doing it acording to the amount of time it will take to render. It's a 30sec walkthrough @ 15 frames/sec.
Any sugestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lisa

If you go to File (or Revit symbol in 2010) -> Export -> Images and Animations -> Walkthrough, you'll see down the bottom of the dialogue box a drop down for the graphics style. You can change this to <Rendered> and set the res of your movie. The time it will take depends on too many variables to make a guess. Try rendering a single frame at a couple of different points in your walkthrough and then multiply the time it takes out by how many frames will end up in your final render.

Try to render one view with detail....time how long it takes.....multiply that by 450 (30 sec. x 15 frames)

That will give you an estimate....but some frames may render faster or slower than other frames.
