View Full Version : Automatic Sliding Entrance Doors in ACA 2010

I am trying to find something that I think should be pretty easy, but apparently it's not. We use ACA 2010 and use the 3D walls, doors and windows portions. We use the automatic door scheduling tool as well.

We use on almost every project an automatic sliding glass entrance door. We obviously vary the size and way the doors operate, but I have been trying to find a door style (or styles) that we can use out of the box ad a 3D Door element, we can easily insert into our walls, and also have the ability to customoze width, etc. as the project progresses. We have been doing a custom door for each project which seems very cumbersome! I am trying to find a better mouse trap! I have tried to look at several manufacturer sites, but no luck so far. I am finding some Revit families, but nothing for ACA. We are on subscription and will be moving to Revit (eventually), but for now, I need something that is plug and play, I can throw into a catlog and on a tool palette, that people can tweak a bit to get their desired results. Thanks.

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD 2010 General (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=342) Forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

Thanks,
