Can anyone give me some help with transferring the points from MapSource. I have no previous experience with GIS, but I did figure out how to get the points off the device into MapSource. I understand I'm supposed to get the lat/long into Excel, then create a database file with Access and import the external data from the spreadsheet??? Been playing with it, reading the help menu, could really use some guidance. I was given 2 hours of training, have some notes, but there's lots of gaps. Thanks.

Map Source will let you export to a txt format that you can import into Excell then use that to import into Access. BUT the easiest way is use DNR Garmin from here
http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/mis/gis/tools/arcview/extensions/DNRGarmin/DNRGarmin.html
Use that to create a ESRI Shp file then load that into Map3D.
BTW anyone that uses the handheld GPS units (Geoachers) I'm writting (or trying to write) a little app to convert GPX files to SDF to play with in Map3D.

Thank you. That does sound easier. I'll try it as soon as I get back to the office.
