I have a dwf of a bldg interior. When I xref'ed the exterior and columns into the interior dwg, I was able to add wall interferences to walls passing through the columns. Now, when I go to a view dwg where the interior itself is xref'ed, the interference conditions I had set earlier are gone. I tried refediting the dwg, but now I can't select the columns. What do I need to do to keep the interferences for the columns?

Maybe someone can answer this then. What's your standard practice for placing walls inline with columns? I'm using the default project template, which suggests that the walls be on a separate dwg from the columns.

I usually just create an extrusion and do a wall body modifier and subtract it. It's a bit of work, but it's easy to do and gives me nice results.

That would be one option. I probably would want to wait till last to do that when I'm sure the walls are in the right place.
