can someone link me to a video or a paper that concisely explains to me the way acad mech is designed to be used, and the benefits of it over inventor?

Hey Chris,

Been doing some late trolling, did you ever get this answered? If not let me know and I can lay it our for you. Essentially it is a stepping stone to Inventor for users with a lot of existing valid (that is the most important part) data that have not yet the need or the capital expenditures for Inventor. It can use Structure in a similar way to Inventor as Components, Parts, Assemblies, creates Standard Content, and most of the annotation tools work the same way in Inventor as they do in ACADM.
