ok, so after a few months away from really useing Civil 3d I had one of those "let's work with it before you forget it" moments. i mean what could be more simple than just working with a few pipes flowing into a storm pond right? ok, i know the answer to that. a whole lot of things...anyways here is my problem, i just ran the pipe network and BAM an error message. it reads "unable to run macro:apply rule" and another that reads "unable to run macro:validate rule" my rule for this this pipe run is pretty basic. I have my max cover set at 10' my max slope set at 8%, min cover at 1', and my minimum slope at 0.5%. yet it tells me it can't apply these rules and sets my inverts at 0....

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated....

ok, it's been a while since i last posted here...but anyways, if anybody else runs int this problem i found the fix the other day. the problem is that the pipe rules style has become corrupted. there seems to be some sort of error in the VBA or .NET translation (can't remember which). the fix is actually simple. delete this style from the drawing and recreate your pipe and/or structure rules style and you should have no problem with it.
