Has anyone licked how to make curvilinear lights... as in neon lights used in signs or recessed lights behind a curvilinear soffit?

I've tried an array of linear lights and point lights but I end up with shadow anomalies.

The generic family "Linear Lighting Fixture.rft" has a model line with an additional parameter "light emitter" but the model line can not be copied or reshaped as far as I can tell and I haven't been able to produce a model line of my own with the "light emitter" parameter.

We had the same problem when trying to create neon lights for a casino.
Revit light emitters only go H or V and are limited in length roughly the length of an 8 ft floresecent tube.

Revit does not allow curved light sources (emitters), although I recall sometime ago someone had created neon light fixtures with curves and set the glow rate high to achieve a similar effect.
