View Full Version : Plotting raster images

I am having a problem plotting images/aerial photos with my line work. When I plot, my lines get chopped up when ever the plot gets to an area that has trees or a darker grey in the photo. The image is always sent to back and everything else is sent to front. I have noticed that it seems to plot all lines fine that are color white. Is there a solution to this problem? I am using a HP 800 Design-jet. Any ideas would be helpful.

Check out the following Technical Documents on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section...

ID: TS47508 - Determine driver to use for optimal plotting of OLE objects and raster images (http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS47508)

ID: TS67590 - Mix raster and vector colors in plot (http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS67590)

ID: TS24855 - Comparing raster and vector-graphics settings for Windows system printer drivers (http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS24855)

Please note that none of the above directly answer your query, I only offer them as a guide towards some settings to look at, different things to try etc.

Have a good one, Mike

Thanks, that is what it was. The graphics were set to "Lines Merge", instead of "Lines Overwrite". Saved me a big headache.
