In Revit MEP 2010 I have started creating an electrical system which at the moment only consists of a few socket outlets (receptacles) connected to a panel. I also created a panel schedule and it shows that circuit on the panel schedule. However, when I come to create a second circuit I select the socket outlet that is going to be in the second circuit and go "Create Systems" (power) and everything freezes up. I have to "Ctrl,Alt,Dlt) to shut it down and restart. Any suggestions please as I'm getting very frustrated with the electrical side in Revit. thanks

what version of the program are you working in?
What is your computers hardware (processor, ram qty)?
What operating system are you using?

Version is Revit MEP2010
Computer Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU, E6550 @2.33GHz, 3.25GB RAM
Operating system MS Windows XP, version 2002 servive pack 3

Also, the project that I am working on file size is only 30MB.

sounds like a 32b machine. Are you using the Worksharing monitor to see how much of your virtual memory is getting taking up, especially during this operation?

It could be a number of things, including your computers Hardware capabilities. Though for a smaller project it should work.

Try closing some of the other worksets in your project, and not keeping any other programs open when you are using Revit.

If you plan on using Revit more it is highly recommended that you update your computer hardware to a 64b based system, and use Windows 7.

hope that helps.
