lofting tool

It would be great to have a lofting tool somthing like solidworks etc. Something like the blend tool, but with multiple shapes and spline based interpolation between them. Does anybody know if this is coming up anyway?

There is a solids blend option in family creation. Can't say if it works as well as your example but...if you didn't know about it check it out.
