Swap out Families

Lets say I have preliminary family A, I place family A all over my project. i now refine Family A but a new naming regulation has been implemented and family A is Now Family B. Is there any way to mass reload family A to be family B?

First load family B into the project. Then in the project browser, find family A. Right click family A and go to "Select all Instances." Now you should be able to just use the family type drop down to change them all to family B.

Thats the quickest way I know of.

The instance parameters are retained. As long as the names of the parameters are the same from family to family. Titleblocks are a good example of this behaviour
