Using MEP (NOT Revit)

I get the gist that "GBS is meant for early schematic design decisions. We intend this tool to be used for designers to optimize their building footprint, orientation, and opening locations/sizes for minimal energy usage BEFORE anyone even begins to consider what type of HVAC system to included"

Problem are:
I can not import the result back into MEP!
I even tried exporting an idf file for a quick look at DOE Energy Plus and that crashed too.
Design variables, such as U values that were put into MEP no longer apply in GBS.

Am I missing something?

We import into eQuest without problems. The EP problem might be something as simple as a version conflict. Can't help on the other two issues.

Welcome to the Forum.
At the moment, only gbXML that were created from Revit MEP can be downloaded after the GBS calculations and re-imported back into the same Revit MEP file (the file must be opened to re-import the calculated data). Revit MEP will then ask what data to import back into your open model (Cooling, Heating loads etc…).

Regarding the problem with opening EnergyPlus files, it is likely a version conflict.
