View Full Version : Manage 2011 can't read imbedded NWD textures.

I have a large project which was published to an NWD. Among the various viewpoints we use, several have saved attributes which turn all the textures on. Opening the published NWD (Textures embedded) causes no problem, but selecting a viewpoint in which the textures are visible (i.e. a viewpoint with full render as the mode) results in endless errors in finding the textures. The geometry remains accurate after hitting "ignore all" a hundred times, but no textures are displayed.

The annoying part is that the exact same file (which was published as a 2010 NWD) will open and display flawlessly in Manage 2010. The same is true of the other iterations:

Same problem with a 2011 NWD file, same problem when publishing a NWD from 2010.

Is this a problem any others are having?

I have noticed this as well. I am wondering if it has to do with material pathing? It is not finding the materials where it would expect them to be. For those who have used 3D Max, this used to be an issue in the past before you could collect your assets (bitmaps, etc) and save them in a project.
I am wondering if this is the same issue.
