Text not showing up in PS

As soon as I give the annotative text its scale to match the viewport the text disappears in PS....any thoughts?

Are you setting the scale of the viewport using the control in the status bar, or older methods such as the zoom command or the viewports toolbar?

Set the scale using the control in the status bar. Any difference?

oooo the status bar in the bottom right.....yep that was it, text is visible!
