Hey guys,

I post a similar thing in the AutoCAD 3D section but thought it may be of more use here.

I'm wanting to create a surface from an AutoCAD solid. They are mounds to be placed on another surface. I thought the easiest way would probably to convert the solid into either 3D faces or into a polymesh which can be used to create a surface. However I am unable to find anywhere a way to do it. 3DSOUT does not work as I only have access to AutoCAD 2010. If anyone knows of another way it would be much appreciated.

For the time being I have exploded and exploded the solid into multiple lines (about 100,000 per mound, 4 mounds...a lot of lines) so this method is not desirable as my machine grinds to a halt. However I can create a surface from the lines but there has to be a better way...doesn't there?

Cheers.
