Recently, i would like to open a dwg File but it cannot open and come out a massage which I have Print Screen as per attached.
Anyone has idea on it? Please advise...
the file name i save as: RS2(70'x120') S

Hi
It means that the drawing was saved in a more recent version of AutoCAD than the one you are using.
You can either ask the person who sent it to you to save the drawing to a previous version or you could try downloading DWG Trueview and converting it

hi judith.owen, thanks for your replying.
i would like to describe my problem more furthure..
the file is create by myselft on AutoCAD LT 2011, but everyday i will save all the file as AutoCAD LT 2000 version.
one day, when i was do the AutoCAD drawing, suddenly the PC Stuck and Shift Off..after that when i was trying to open the same file but it was filed to open and show the Error Massage....how ??
Can i re-open the file again?
Please advise. Appreciated your helping.

Look in the folder that the dwg file is in for files with the same name but ".dwl" and ".dwl2" extensions - delete these two files and try again.

Your file is dead and unrecoverable: start LT then start RECOVER command and try to open the file. If it cannot then the file is lost forever.
Find and rename the BAK file or look for an autosave file in your Windows profile temp folder.
