Any workflows out there to get a Navis file into Revit?
It would cool to import a Clash model into Revit for weekly rework.
Any ideas would be most appreciated.
Thanks!

Fbx out turn fbx to dwg then link or import dwg into revit.
Don't think it would be worth it.....

Such a feature should really go on the Revit wishlist for 2012 release. Revit supporting NavisWorks format... improting just like DWF format. It's really inexuseable that it is not supported, esp since it is yet another Autodesk product!... will Autodesk ever get the meaning of true BIM!???

You don't really want to "bring Navisworks into Revit". Since you are using Navisworks to view your models you already have all model data. What you would be looking for is the clash data such as location, clashing items, preview image, etc. This can be provided to Revit via the HTML and/or XML clash reports but it would need customization to incorporate it into a palette, dialog, or similar interface.

Great points that we should be working in Navisworks and not bringing it back to Revit, but what about cases where consultants are not updating the model. I have a project where the subs have an updated structural file and my Consultant will not update his Revit model because the condition in already shown in the subs file so he doesn't need to update his Revit project.
I'd like to have the ability to export the structural Naviswork project and import it into my Architectural Revit project so that at the end I can give the Client a record set with coordinated up to date plans.
Yes I know my Consultant should up date the Revit project, but he isn't.

Revit -> Navisworks -> (whatever)
Each step is a conversion which removes precision (and data - very important on the Revit side) from the last. I wouldn't trust that export any more than I would a manual raster scan of a printed drawing.
One of the favorite quotes around here: "Don't make a management issue become a technical one." If the consultant isn't following project procedures (it is in the contract, right?), have project management harangue them - thats their job.

Have you heard of Switchback button in clash detective? This is great it allows us to get back to the native app to instantly make the changes, it saved us millions of USD.
For now you can us nwload in AutoCAD and Microstation only.
I dream about having this possible into Revit. In the past this feature was a lot more used with 3D DWG from our consultants, now that all of them are Revit we have to count the days...Crossing toes too...

There is a beta of Switchback fro Revit from a third party. Though still not as robust as AutoCAD, it's a start that I hope will evolve.
