change lanes/subassembly width

is it possible for a sub assembly to change in width along an alignment, targeting th surface?

IE: if my section passes trough cut of terrain, i want the width of the lane/sub assembly to be shorter and if its in fill to be larger always targeting the surface

It sounds like you're looking for the ConditionalCutOrFill subassembly.

You shouldn't need to make one, you just need to use it.

I think it was part of a Subscription Advantage Pack (download from Autodesk) for C3D 2009, but it should be built-in to C3D 2010 and later.

ok, i already checked that option but that isn`t what i need, is it possible for a lane to target the surface so it has variable width?
