Big Network Problem

I am now working big sewer-strom network. We have approximately 3000 manhole (2000 sewer+100 storm) and 120 km length of pipe. I draw all network in autocad civil 2011. But its hard to work in autocad because autocad crash( for example when i add some label).
Do you know any solution of this problem?
Also i think maybe this problem autocad works all pipe networks 3d. Can we disable that?

Best practice is to breakup your networks into separate drawings. Sewer get its own drawing, as well as storm. Then if that network is large, you can separate it out by outflow.
