I have had my feature lines dissapear on me several times now. This has also happened to another co-worker in the office. Has anybody else had troubles with this? Are we doing something wrong? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

it just happened to me again! I was xrefing the drawing with the feature lines and reconciled the layers, and now all the feature lines are gone! I even had them on locked layers. Please somebody help before I break something.
What version of Civil 3D?
Lots of people were complaining about this with C3D 2008 and 2009. I can't remember for sure if I've seen anyone complain about it with 2010, but it seems like I've seen a couple of complaints. I don't think I've seen anyone complain about it yet with C3D 2011. I had been sort-of hoping that Autodesk has finally fixed this problem.

I'm working in 2010 and I'm about ready to go back to Land Desktop. I can't afford to have work disappear into thin air anymore.

I've been using C3D 2009 for about 3 years now and I have never had feature lines disappear.
I have had surfaces disappear periodically (it happened yesterday). The surface still exists in prospector but I can't see it on the screen. When a surface disappears I save the drawing, close it and reopen it and the surface is back.
Are the feature lines still listed in prospector when they disappear?
I've never seen them disappear, either, but I've seen a lot of people complaining about it.
It seemed to be something of a running mystery as to what caused it...

Yes they still appear in prospector, but it will not allow me to add the lines to the drawing.

I've run into this on several occasions and would love to know why.
