I would like to have saveable and recallable selection sets for running clashes on. When you've got a lot of different files you want to run clashes on but not all at the same time so you can focus your efforts as follows:

A...........vs......B,C,F,G
B,F........vs......C,G,H,J,M
C,D,E,F..vs......E,K,N,O,P,S

including only some selected subsets of those groups instead of the whole file each time.

Being able to recall the seletion set would speed things up including accuracy/consistancy when one false click will black out all the currently selected items (frustrating to say the least). When choosing subsets you can quickly get hundreds of selections on each side.

I definitely feel your pain on this one Kevin.

I'm trying to standardize our selection sets over several drawings and once I get it right, I plan to take them with me to another office and standardize them over 3 more sets of projects.

One thing that's helped us a bit is to put things into a shell and have that as one of our selection sets.

In this case, if you look at the Find Items box, for shell, you'll find the Category being Item, the Property being Type, the Condition being Contains and the Value being Wall, then you can add an OR Condition and use the same Category, Property, Condition, and for Value, we use Floor. Do that three more times for Roof, Ceiling, and Foundation and you've got one set that will cover all those categories.

I'm going to submit a wish list item to be able to alphabetize things in the rules, selection sets, etc. and to also be able to import and export them into Excel so things can be managed there more efficiently.

If you have any questions, I'll be more than happy to try and help explain what I mentioned above.
