Hello Gang,

We have just started our first large project with scope boxes and worksets. Setting it up was easy enough, but I do have one question:

Is there a way to have Revit prompt you to reload the latest worksets as other team members update and save their work to the central file, similar to how AutoCAD prompts to update x-refs, or do you just need to remember to do it on a regular basis?

I can see where someone might make changes and save to the central file all day, but the other users may not remember to load the latest worksets to see what changes have occurred.

Thanks

Revit won't but you can IM or email the team when you've made changes that they should reload latest for. You can even reduce your IM message to a RW...

If each user does a STC (save to central) often anyway they'll get the latest as well since a STC does a "reload latest" as well.

If you're using Scope Boxes you might be interested in the scope box tutorial I posted awhile ago, I updated it recently and reposted the new files. It's in the TUTORIALS (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=11935)forum.

Jim Balding also posted, "A Typical Day In The Life Of A Revit Designer" as a GUIDE (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=577&highlight=worksets)for establishing a good STC habit.

Thank you for the clarification Steve. I did not realize that a STC does a reload as well.

BTW, your scope box tutorial has been very helpful and proves to be a useful tool and great reference.

BTW, your scope box tutorial has been very helpful and proves to be a useful tool and great reference.Glad it has...I updated it last night so if you have the older version you know what to do. Nothing major, it's just two documents now, a second with image captures.
