Does anyone know how to set up the hp 2600dn Business Inkjet so that the lineweight's print correctly? I've installed this network printer thru our switch (we are using our server as a printer server) and can't seem to get the drivers supplied on the HP disc to plot the lineweight's correctly. HELP !!!

Hi

Have you also been to the Hewlett-Packard web site to see if there is a more up to date Windows Driver -

Drivers for HP Business Inkjet 2600dn Printer (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?locale=en_US&pnameOID=33055&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=33052&submit.y=6&submit.x=9&lang=en&cc=us)

Some other links to the Hewlett-Packard web site that might prove useful -

Have a browse of the following thread (especially take note of any links within) -

Have a good one, Mike

I have talked to Hp for over five hours in the last few days and the results are that they say that they changed the driver language of the newer printer's and that they would try and help but I have slim hope. I'm playing the waiting for a reply from HP game. Finger's crossed but it looks like our company will be purchasing a few more hp 9650 desk jet's we know the old printer's work just fine when it comes to line weights.

Still looking for help if anybody has anymore ideas. HELP!!!

We use the 2600dn, and haven't had any problems with lineweight. Haven't done anything special. Have the latest drivers from HP. Created PC3 files for grayscale prints and one for color prints.

Also what version of AutoCAD do you have? There could be updates available that could fix this problem.

Thanks gpope,

We use AutoCAD LT 2002 and ADT 2004. I still have not got back an real answer from HP that will fix this problem. They just repeat the phrase "were working on it"
I've installed the latest drivers with no luck. The prints just come out way to dark and fuzzy.

What versions of AutoCAD do you use?

Running Map 2005. Got the 2600 after we upgraded so can't say how it would work with 2004.

Have you checked if you have all the service packs for your AutoCADs. Some of them do fix some printing problems. Maybe they fix this.
