I have always heard that Dell makes great computer systems at a reasonable price. Unfortunately Dell only builds Intel based systems. Is there an equivalent to Dell out there that is building AMD systems?

I bought mine from Xi out of San Clemente, CA. Great service and they are tuned in to CAD and Revit. Told them what I was using it for and they were helpful in getting it built.

AMD Athlon 64 FX-53
2 gigs RAM
2 ea WD74 Gig 10,000rpm Hard Drives
Plextor CD-r drive
Plextor DVD drive
NVIDIA Quadro FX 2000
2 ea 20" Dell LCD Monitors

Plus all the peripheral stuff and connections. Fast and happy. Great computer, now just to come up to speed in Revit. That's the tough one.

Coughing up the cash is the tough one, but it really motivates you to max out that baby, doesn't it! ;-)

In the UK I would suggest checking these out ~ even have an off shelf FX53 system all configurable to your own needs ~ very helpful to me when I ordered my system last year

Makes very good systems, but I wouldn't call them cheap.

They currently have a great deal on AMD systems, you get a killer graphic's card for the price of a Quadro FX 1100
