View Full Version : Tip on Interior Elevation Callouts

Hello all!

Here's my tip!

When you place an interior elevation symbol on a plan, revit automatically numbers them 1 to 4 typically (depending on the side checked) but under the project browser - elevations -- Revit letters the elevation as A-D (How strange!) Anyways, when you stick these elevation to a sheet, both references (alpha-numeric) shows up... the 'alphas' (A-D, etc.) shows up as the elevation title and the 'number' is the reference... So basically the letters are redundant and is for Revit's referencing purpose.

From my understanding is that Revit does not allow same name elevation or any other 'same named' views to appear under the project browser (names shall be unique!).

So my suggestion is, rename your elevations to the orientation specific(i.e. N,S,E,W), instead of letters ahead of time while you're creating them, this eliminates the guessing game later on in the project.

Hope this tip helps!
