Yelling like that is inappropriate in a genteel forum such as this. Here is the tale of woe which has brought me to this end.
I downloaded the skylights from RUGI (as always, thank you very much RUGI) and ploped them down on my roof. Just fine when looking at the roof from a high tree nearby. When I looked up at the roof from a reflected ceiling plan, some lines were missing. Revit informed me that the "family did not cut the host"--paraphasing.
I found nothing to grab to cut. no control on roof or family, opening up the family, nothing to align, or lengthen. Lesser men would kick the dog in such apredicament, but I am not that sort. Instead I call on the Zoog brain trust for help.
