Do we really need to renew our subscriptions?

Hello everyone, this is my first post!

I've just been asked by my boss if we really need to upkeep our subscription services to Vault, Inventor and AutoCAD. We're not a CAD company, most of our work is in-house and I really don't see any reason why we should keep the subscription service when I find that most of my AutoDesk related questions can be answered using google.

Any opinions out there please?

Just do what you want - the choice is yours.
It would be better not upgrade your current version if you rarely involve drawing exchange.
In my point of view, there is noone will sent you the inventor drawing files which contains their original design data anyway.
In most of cases the other firm will sent you stp files when you request inventor drawing.
