I am working on my first Fire Sprinkler project. I have a linked architectural model in my MEP model. I built a (Fire Hazard) space schedule showing the room name, room number (which take on the linked model info) how do I get the “Height offset from level” parameter from the reflected ceiling into the space schedule? At this point I am using the ”Limit Offset” in the space properties but I have to manually input the ceiling height.

Any help would be appreciated

The only way I can think of automatically doing it is making sure your ceilings are room bounding. Then create a calculated value in your schedule that uses the volume of the space divided by the area to get your ceiling height. Your calculated value will actually look like this to make the units consistent:

(Volume/1)/Area

I tried it on a test project and it worked successfully. However, if you have different ceiling heights in the same room you will need to split the room up into multiple spaces, tracing the ceiling edges with space separation lines.

Or your could demand your architect add a parameter to their rooms that has the ceiling height manually input into it. Then just read the parameter in your schedule.
