I am trying to set up survey figures for our small company. It is pretty cool that to get Auto Linework done from a simple text file. But when I create my figure pre-fixes I can't toggle to the layer I want it assigned to, I try to type it in but not having any luck. Can anybody help?

The layer MUST exist before you attempt to assign it to a figure prefix.
If you want Block walls to go an a layer named Block_Walls that layer must be created BEFORE the figure prefix library can use that layer.

I managed to toggle to my layer that I created, but it is still going to the default. I think that there is something that I am missing with the settings. Thank you for the quick response, I can't be the only one with this problem.
My method was create an ACAD layer with the exact same name as my pre-fix, created a new pre-fix, chose that layer, imported my data and still on layer 0.

So your survey figure prefix specifies the correct layer, and the style the figure uses is also difined to use the same layer?

Paul keep watching this space, and I'll post a link to a video showing the process soon.

You need to change a setting to make the survey figures display correctly. On the toolspace tab go to Settings/Survey/Figure Styles. Right click the Standard style and hit Edit. Under the Display tab you need to chnage the settings for Figure Lines to Color by layer and Linetype by layer.
This should solve your problem. Hope this helps!
