Ok, I have created a conceptual mass with a rectangular pattern based curtain panel. I want all of the joints between panels to be very clean so I followed this tutorial on design reform.

http://designreform.net/2010/03/revit-pattern-based-curtain-panel

it works great and the surface look soooooooo clean! now..... I have imported the mass into a project file and I want to add mullions and fine tune things, is this even an option?! There are tons of great tutorials about these pattern based conceptual models, but what happens when you need to put your money where your mouth is and develop the project?

If anyone has some tips and pointers on taking the conceptual model into a project file and further developing the building it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Hey there.

Once you've created a pattern-based curtain wall panel family and loaded it into your conceptual mass, and in turn loaded that mass into your project, you can keep developing the panel family. Add whatever you want to it, reload it directly into the project and it will update all instances.

Now, developing a pattern-based curtain wall panel family is not trivial. Learning how to use these tools was not easy for me, but it is possible. I am using it for the first time on a real project.

buildz.blogspot.com is a great resource. Check out the links to other sites, too.
YouTube with a search of "revit conceptual mass tutorial" or "revit adaptive components tutorial" gives some good results.

If you share some sketches of what you are trying to accomplish, I'd be happy to try to help.

Correct. As a workflow, you create a mass in conceptual mass environment --> divide surface or project grid for panelization--> Create pattern based curtain panel family to match the grid pattern your using on mass. Then load this mass with curtain panels into a project environment. Once in the project environment, as damon said, you can edit adaptive/pattern based family in family environment and load back into the project and it should update all panels.
If you post some sketches then we could help you.
