Acquire scanned image and PDF import

Is it possible acquire a scanned image into auto cad 2004,or 2005
and be able to edit it,

also is it possible to convert pdf files into usable format that cad can edit?

To truly pull an image into AutoCAD a raster to vector software would be needed. If the PDF was plotted from AutoCAD you would get better results than if it were scanned. Also, text doesn't do to well, but for lines it is good. Personally, I use R2V software from AlgoLab
