I'm getting a growing number of requests from clients for PDF files. Currently I have Adobe 4.0 and I think it's time we upgrade. Is Adobe the best software to use for making PDFs or has someone found a better product?

Thanks

We have had good luck with Bluebeam Pushbotton Plus for AutoCAD Users (http://www.bluebeam.com/web03/products/index.asp)

We use Bluebeam and love it!! Another great alternative is the PDF Complete driver on Windows XP systems. Good luck!!

Mike, Glen,

I'm in the process of making a catalog for our products. I need to convert .dwg to .pdf. I have never used anything but Adobe Reader and our "creative guy" has never used AutoCAD. As you can guess we are having a heck of a time. Thanks to the links the two of you posted, I think we will be on our way. Thanks guys.

If you use wipe outs, make sure the software you chose can deal with them, Adobe won't. We have been using Arcoplot for a few months and haven't had any issues.

Hi,

Our viewer, CAD Viewer 4.0 from www.guthcad.com includes a save-as PDF option.
It makes nice PDFs of AutoCAD drawings and will also let you batch them out.

Download the latest free adobe reader 7.0. It works really well.
