I'm wondering if anyone out there has been successfully able to import Geobase .dem files into C3D. I've been able to bring it in, but it is very vertically exaggerated. When defining a surface with a dem file, i've entered everything into civil as it matches the dem file, ex. The Coordinate system is Lat/Long with a Horizontal datum of NAD83. It's imported into a TIN surface.
I've contacted Geobase and they say that their file is not vertically exaggerated and it must be a parameter within my software. ANY help at all would be appreciated!!

I haven't been able to successfully convert DEM, but I have exported information from a geobase as point data which can be easily imported into AutoCAD and converted from lat-long.

see the following thread in that regard

Good luck.
