All,
I'm trying to apply a template to an alignment and the errors that I get are "No Vertical Exists" on every station.
What I've done:
I created an Alignment from a 3D Poly along the CenterLine of the Roadway.
I Sampled the Surface in the Cross-Section menu.
I then went to the Design Control Menu under the Cross-Section Menu and Edited the Controls.
Under Template Controls, I selected the Template that I wanted.
I set the slope parameters that I wanted; I think 3 min and max is 3:1?
I Process the sections
and Get the same error everytime.

The Autodesk Tutorial says that the "No Vertical Exists" error is due to a rounding issue at your end of alignment. My ending station is 1997.51, and I sampled up to 1997.5, and still I get this error.

Is there something I'm missing? When I view/edit my sections, all I get are a couple of lines and not the beautiful template that I designed.

Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Did you create the profile for your alignment and then Define the FG centerline before you sampled your Cross sections? Otherwise, the cross sections do not know where to Attach the template.

You can not apply a template to existing ground. That would be a nice feature.

Work-around...Define the existing ground profile as the FG Centerline then run your templates.

You can quickly do the EG to FG copy in the Vertical Alignment editor. Select the EG Centerline and then click on the Copy icon and copy it into the FG Centerline. You can also do a global edit on the elevations if needed at the same time.
